About the Artist
Unkle Funk is a Chicago-based house music DJ, producer, and curator with over 16 years behind the decks and more than 6 years crafting tracks in the studio. His sound lives at the intersection of deep house, tech house, and classic Chicago soul — warm, hypnotic, and built for the floor.
In 2010, he launched the Sunday Slackin' podcast — a weekly showcase of exclusive mixes from DJs and producers around the globe, each set crafted specifically for the show. Over nine seasons, Sunday Slackin' grew into one of house music's most consistent independent platforms, connecting underground talent with listeners worldwide.
His studio productions appear on labels including Soulsupplement Records, Wulfpack, and DOIN' WORK Records, with releases available on Beatport, Spotify, SoundCloud, and Traxsource. Regular collaborators include Anaiek and artists from the Disco Aliens collective.
